Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a great Valentine's day!  Jordan made crepes for breakfast, and they were delicious!  He bought strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries for the filling :) yumm!  We exchanged small gifts.  I got him a bag of goodies - things he thinks I won't allow him to have, or things that he sneaks at the grocery store and opens it before I even notice he grabbed it (it's pretty funny really) such as crunchy doughnuts, fruit roll-ups (the ones in the poduce dept), honeybuns, and some other junk food type of things. He got me chocolates from Florences, which are my favorite :)  

After breakfast I rolled out and baked the sugar cookie dough I made the night before, because Jordan said Nate and Kelly were coming over to decorate cookies at 3.  After I finished baking, he sent me to the store, and wouldn't let me come home for an hour.  When I finally did come home, SUPRISE, our apartment had been turned into a carnival, hahaha.  It was so cute!  He had signs up all over lableing the different stations.  We had cookie decorating at the table, a bean bag toss in the hallway, a donut eating contest at the island, and a cake walk around the island.  How funny huh?!  Well here's the story behind it.  A few weeks ago I told Jordan I wanted to go to a carnival (like a little cute school one, not the ones with rides, yuck).  

I have no idea why, I think I might have watched a movie where they went to a fun little town carnival thing or something???  I don't know, and I obviously know that you can't go to a carnival in February, and that's why we thought it was so funny that a carnival would even cross my mind.  Anyway, we didn't really talk about since that one time, but I guess he remembered, lol.  So I thought it was so sweet of him!  Oh, and his shirt was pretty cute too!!  

After the carnival I made lasagna for dinner, and we melted chocolate in our fondu pot and dipped the rest of the berries in there.  It was a fun day!  And Jordan was very sweet and creative!

Some good friends of ours from our ward, Jessica and Casey came over for some carnival fun too!  Casey thought his doughnut was the biggest, but I was pretty sure mine was!  

Jessica won this round, I definitely came in last!  Eating a doughnut off a string was a lot harder than I though it would be!

I had a lot of fun decorating the cookies!  I think I choose a good frosting recipe, it looked so pretty on the cookies, and it was butter free :)
