The doctor also listened to the baby's heart beat, which is always a neat experience! He asked if I feel the baby move a lot, and acted worried that I haven't at 16 weeks. He said I should be paying close attention to when the baby is active. I'm sure I'll start feeling the movement soon, but still nothing yet.
Oh! And to clarify any confusion . . . THERE IS JUST ONE BABY :) lol. Though the idea of two would explain more (the big belly so early on, the sickness, etc) but there is just one in there. The doctor said the reason I'm so big so early on is "most likely" that my uterus is tilted out as opposed to the other way (whatever that is?)
But, the real exciting news is we should find out our baby's gender in only 2 weeks! So what do you think? Boy or Girl??

GIRL! But it will probably be a boy, knowing the Spence track record.
Girl. We need one in the family.
I know I've been commenting like every post...I'm very much into pregnancy right now, you know, so it's interesting to me.
That is weird your Dr. is worried you can't feel the baby at 16 weeks. I felt Levi at 16 1/2, but apparently that was pretty early, especially for your first (you don't know what you're feeling for, and the movement is slight at first). Even then, I had to really concentrate to feel anything. Anyway, I think it is a boy - just because the other 2 people said girl.
It's a boy. The Lord needs more missionaries. I'm always wrong so here's hoping. Glad you are feeling a little better.
Hey that's nice of the Dr. to give you some extra meds. I hope they work out for you or the sickness stops all together very soon. You find out in 2 weeks? That's awesome! I am so excited for you two. Boy or Girl I just hope it's a healthy baby and all goes well with your ultrasound.
I think girl! Michaela which doctor are you seeing? I agree that its a little weird that he made a little bit of a deal over the fact that you haven't felt the baby yet... Most first time moms don't feel the baby until closer to 20 weeks on average, so 16 weeks would be really early anyways. And that's funny about the prescription too... especially since you're in your second trimester and still having nausea you would think it wouldn't be that hard to talk them into giving you a prescription to help it. Hope it helps you feel better!!! And that's exciting that you get to find out in just 2 weeks. Exciting!
I thought it was strange that the doctor said that also, but most girls I know who are pregnant now have felt the baby move by 16 weeks. So I don't know. But I'm not too worried, I figure I'll get plenty of kicking later on, so why not enjoy the still tummy while I can :)
You've probably had butterfly feeling movement but hadn't noticed.
I think it's a GIRL!
If it is from the spence line it is going to be a boy ;)
Hmmm... thinkin... a girl.
2 weeks is so soon!!!
i think it will be a girl. that would be so much fun. Hope your sickness gets better!!
It doesn't matter to me, but I'm dressing the baby in pink anyway. Ask Nate and Kelly.
Hmmm... I'm thinkin Girl. I dont know why I can just see you guys with a girl. A petite little flower.
So I didnt know you were Pregnant and Ben and I were sitting here and decided to look at your blog and see what you guys were up to and I saw this post and about freaked out. Ben looked over at me and was like, "Oh, you didnt know?" So you can tell what our marraige communication is like (ha jk)! I guess I need to call and catch up. Congrats and best wishes, we miss you guys!
I figured you'd see this one before one I left on my own blog. I'm walking with my brother and his wife in the Accounting department. I'm sad I wont be walking with the friends I have, but this way my parents only have to attend one :)
