When I posted the picture Friday of me at 39 weeks, I never would have guessed I would have this cute little baby the next day!
We'll make this post short since our family is dying to see some pics of our little Calin.
I thought my water broke at 4:00 am (though the nurses said it didn't). My contractions (the painful ones anyway) started around 5:30am. We went to the hospital around 6:30, and stayed till 10:30. They were sure I was going to have him that day, but said I could go walking for a while if I wanted to, and just come back later. So we went home, and when my contractions started intensifying, we headed back.
Finally at 11:50pm little Calin was born :) He weighed 7lbs 15oz, and 20" long. We named him Calin Michael Spence. Calin because we like it; Michael after his grandpa; and Spence because just look at how handsome he is - definitely a Spence boy :)
When I took this picture, I was trying to take one of Jordan and Calin together, and Jordan was doing his "fake" smile, so I said "smile real!" and Calin "smiled" Haha, already so much like his dad!
We have had a very busy day today while trying to catch up on sleep and lots of sweet visitors. Calin is doing so great! He's such a sweet baby! We'll post more details later, but for now, we hope you all enjoy a few pics of our precious baby boy.

Yeah...he's here! We are so happy for you guys! He's such a handsome little boy, but we wouldn't expect anything different for such an awesome family! We hope you can sleep and just enjoy being together before school starts...perfect timing!!! Congratulations!

Words cannot even describe the elation I felt when I saw the first picture of my very first grandchild. Beautiful, perfect, precious. Hello, I was doing a search for the name Calin and it linked me to your web page here...I love the name and I am thinking about using it for my new baby boy in March. I thought I made the name up by using Calvin and taking out the v. I did not know it was actually a name until I started looking! I was wondering if you pronounce his name Cal-in, and how it has been with people trying to pronounce it...if you could let me know I greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much! Carly
