Calin's First Week

Our little Calin is just over a week old now! He is doing so great! His first few nights home were pretty rough. He loved sleeping during the day and screaming at night. But now he is doing sooo much better! He rarely cries at night anymore. He still wakes up about 2-3 times during the night wanting to be fed, which hopefully over time he will go longer.
He has been doing so well nursing so yesterday we finally decided to give him a pacifier. He always wants something in his mouth to suck on, so he's been a pretty happy camper now that he has his pacifier.
He does not like baths, but my aunt gave me this cute little froggy towel that we put on him while we bath him to stay warm - it does buy us quite a bit of time before the crying starts! And I think it looks so cute!
My mom flew into town Saturday (the 5th) and will be here till Sunday. It's been great having here here. And she just loves little Calin!! He's sure miss her when she leaves!
Sunday we had a fabulous surprise! Nate and Kelly called saying they were going to come up to visit for the day, and when they showed up, Matt Mickie and Ty were with them too!! It was our first time seeing Ty. He is such a cutie!! We spent a lot of time visiting and catching up. We took a walk to the park, the boys played tennis, and we took some family pics since we were all together. Next month we'll take some with Steve and Braden when we will all be together for Calin's baby blessing.

Mickie and Ty. She's such a great mom! And Ty is such a great baby!
This picture shows the blisters on Calin's head from the vacuum. They're healing well. And never even seemed to bother him. Hopefully they will be gone within the week!

He's such a great dad! He starts school tomorrow, and I will sure miss having him home all day long. He has been such a big help with everything. He's such a wonderful husband and dad!!! Calin and I sure are blessed!

Great family photos and again Calin is such a handsome little fella! Oh he is darling. I am glad that feedings are going better. Something I will endorse is the Itzbeen timer, you can find it at target (by the monitors) or Baby's r Us. It is a life savor to keep track of how long it has been since, a feeding, diaper, sleep or medicine/ extra. I lived by this thing and it is only $25. It is great. Ok I won't endorse anymore. haha I love your pictures, and I am glad your mom is there to help you too.

I'm sure you both are great parents. Loved the park scenes. Maybe by Oct. the leaves will begin to change. Loved the pictures.

Love the bath photo of Calin. Glad to hear nursing is going well, stick with it! :) Paci's are wonderful soothers for our little ones that love to suck (both my kids did). Waking 2-3 times is actually not too bad for a newborn nurser. It'll get easier as he gets older. What precious pics of Calin with your mom, so sweet.
