This weekend was general conference. 4 hours of church on Saturday (6 for the guys) and 4 more on Sunday. This may sound like a lot, and I guess it is, but to listen to apostles of the Lord and other church authorities share important inspiring messages, 8-10 hours twice a year isn't much at all. More would be great! Each time conference comes around I think of how blessed we are to have modern day revelation. And how blessed I am to have the opportunity to listen to it!
Last week I posted a comment about how nice the weather has been, and how I was glad I didn't have to try to squeeze into my jeans yet. Well, what was on the forecast for the next day? Snow! I don't think it actually snowed last Wednesday, but this morning I looked out the window, and what did I see? Snow. It's been snowing all day! I am not ready for the snow just yet! I already missed summer weather with all the rain in Jersey, and now to have fall cut so short?! Well at least the snow is pretty.
Here's a pic I took from my phone (my new phone!!) on my way home from taking Jordan to school this morning to prove it really is happening.

This weekend I finally bought some material to make a baby wrap/carrier (I didn't really have to make it, there is no sewing required, just the need to cut the fabric in half - easy peasy!). I found some fabric super cheap and used a 50% off coupon at Joann's. Since I had to cut it in 1/2 lengthwise it made 2 wraps for only $6! Only $3 each! Good deal huh?! Calin loves it, and I love being able to hold him and have my hands free at the same time! :) I can get so much more done!

Gotta Love those mormon messages. They are so wonderful! Elder Holland sure knows how to move me to tears... happens everytime he speaks especially the last two conferences.
I can't believe it is SNOWING there all ready. Thanks for the reminder, i'll have to pack a TON of warm clothes when we come up this weekend!
Cute wrap, I bet Calin LOVES it!
I've always wondered about those wraps. Maybe I will try one with our next, since they are so cheap.
I also loved Elder Hollands talk and your recording of his testimony. I had to watch it twice tonight again. I don't understand why people don't want to know more about the Lord's chuch. No other church on earth is organized with 12 apostles just as the Lord set up His church when He was on the Earth. The gospel is so simple yet true. It is hard to break from the tradition as to how you were raised and ask yourself, Could it be possible to have structure today as Jesus set up His church? Through prayer I received my answer. Yes, it is true. It is so comforting to know we can be a family, whom I love, in the next world through the sealing together in the temple.
sorry fall is cut short, but I do envy your snow. And that is so cool you made your wrap. I bought one ( now wish I made one cheaper) but they are fabulous for hands free and traveling on planes. Calin is a cutie and you look great too!
Great baby wrap, I wish I'd had a front/back one when my kids were little!! :)
Snow already! Wow. Keep warm. We're still using the a/c every now and then.
Cute inexpensive baby wrap. I had a peanut shell sling with James and he loved being in it.
What a great idea, i love the wrap! Your def sportin the look! you look great! And Calin, is so precious!
You are sooooooo cute!!! It's hard to decide who's cuter, you or baby boy Calin!! He's your little papoose! And you are such an awesome mommy! But then again, you had good lessons on being a good mommy. LOL! I love you and can't wait to hold that sweet baby again. Mucho blessings!!
