Fayetteville, Arkansas

We have been in our new Fayetteville apartment for a week and a half now.  We moved on the 31st, and spent the first couple days cleaning.  Our apartment was built a couple years ago, but we are the first to live in it, unless you count the bizzilion spiders that had taken over the place.  Oh it was horrible!!  Our front door, showers, and every window were sealed shut with spiderwebs.  Dead bugs, spiders, and webs were EVERYWHERE!  So despite the whole bug-factor, it is a nice apartment.  Even bigger than the one we had in Little Rock.  The furniture is also nicer.  I'm especially loving the bed.

Ok, so onto more fun stuff.  The weather our first week here was KILLER!  Too hot to do anything.  Even dry my hair, or go get the mail.  So if we went outside at all, it was only to make the short walk to and from the car.  We did however make it to the cute frozen yogurt shop CherryBerry quite a few times (4 actually).  I have been enjoying Fayetteville despite the heat.  It's a cute college town, smaller than Little Rock, still with lots to do.

This week though, the weather has been great!  This morning we went out to breakfast and it was 75!  40 degrees cooler than it was last week.  But it was also raining, so we stayed inside most of the day.  Monday was great though.  In the 80's and clear for most of the day.  We finally made it to the pool.

And since it was raining and we were stuck inside, I attempted to conquer my fear of making clothes for Capri.  For some reason they just intimidate me, so I started with this simple pillowcase dress tutorial.  And then made a headband to match.
Hopefully now I can attempt some bigger projects.
