We had a big Christmas Eve dinner at our house with Nate, Kelly, Tanner, Dallin & Ashlyn
and our friends Scott, Aimee, Dallin and Daphnee.
Then Christmas morning we opened presents. Calin was very excited about presents this year and finally understood the whole Santa thing.

He was so excited to see his stocking full and gifts from Santa under the tree. The kids were very spoiled by their grandparents this year! After gifts we headed to Nate and Kelly's for brunch, then to church, then home for naps, and then we all met back at our house for Christmas dinner (leftovers from Christmas Eve). We waited for hours that night to talk to Braden, Jordan's brother on a mission in Mexico (Christmas and mother's day are the two times we can talk to him on the phone each year), but it got late, and the kids were getting too grouchy tired so we were only able to say "Hi, Merry Christmas!" but it was still worth the wait!
This was the first year we stayed home for Christmas, and though we missed my family, we had a great Christmas and are glad we could still spend it with some family and friends!

What a cute dress Capri has! You are a talented sewer Michaela. Love the pictures too. It was nice to see you guys for a little bit on Skype. Ty gets confused. He still thinks it's a movie so he doesn't talk much but normally the kid doesn't STOP talking. I think it's fun that Calin likes Trains too... these boys are born twins as cousins I think :)
Wish we could be visiting with you guys for the New Year too. Hopefully soon we'll see you all again...
