Random {iPhone purge}

This blog has been so random lately, so why not keep up with the trend :)

It seems I have only been taking pictures with my phone lately (which I think is the main reason I'm having such a hard time letting it go even though I need to now that we are poor college students again), so here are some of my recent favs.

But first the most exciting news since my last post is my newest niece!!!!
Emma Marie Spence
Matt & Mickie had their 3rd baby last week.  It makes me miss them even more!  Congrats you guys!!

And now for my phone pics . . .
I Love this cheesy smile!!

Capri is more of a driving hazard than texting. Seriously! When I look back at her and she is smiling up at me or dancing I can't take my eyes off her.  She is just so beautiful!

There is a family that we have sold with the past two summers who lives 10-15 min away.  We love them!  We've gotten together a couple times, but hopefully more soon!
Every Thursday the mall down the street (there are quite a few here) has Kids Club.  It's free and lots of fun.  A funny lady gets up and sings, does games with the kids, reads stories, and the kids get a toy, a treat, and they get to ride the carrousel.  Free!  It's fun.  And there are probably 100 moms there with their kids.
umm... I know I know, I am to blame.  What was I thinking leaving nail polish out?!  I was with Calin in the dining room when it happened and I knew that sound was not good.  And notice she's holding another one in her hand? Ready to strike again.  I got a hold of it before she tossed that one too.  But before I could even pick up all the glass, she was already onto her next mess . . .
This one wasn't too bad.  Just a vase of water all over the place.  But the fact that it happened right after she tossed nail polish down the stairs, and that she pushed a fire truck over to stand on to reach the vase had me pulling my hair out.
We had a BOGO coupon for a shaved ice place, and gave it a shot.  Delicious!   I've never had shaved ice like that!  It was incredible!

I always go in to sneak a kiss check on the kids before I go to bed at night.  And sometimes it's so hard to leave.

We happened to stop in to Chick-Fil-A on Family Night.  This balloon guy was  awesome!  He could make anything!  Calin told him he wanted "The Beast" and it actually looked like the Beast!  (the guy also mentioned he was hired for a Halloween party last year for someone who said he wasn't allowed to make any vampires or werewolves, because "she's had enough of them in the past few years with all HER books and movies".  Ha, can you guess who's party it was?  He said he could only use black and white balloons and there was even a flame thrower there.  Fancy.)

Everytime Calin wears orange, he HAS to wear this hat also :)

Not sure if you can tell here, but Capri has started wiggling out of her straps.  She's getting too big for that car seat anyway, and her new one should be here this weekend.  I hope that will help, but I don't know.  I've had to pull over multiple times to strap her back in.  Calin never even tries to get out of his seatbelt.  She wiggles out of everything.  She's a little Houdini.  And it scares me SO much!
The other day at the grocery store I was getting something from the bottom shelf and when I got back up she had wiggled out of the buckle and had her hands on the handle bar of the cart and her feet up on the back of the seat.  I don't know what she was planning on doing, but I'm pretty sure if I came up a second later she would have fell face first onto the floor.  It was terrifying!!

Over the summer, the kids started having a hard time in the car together.  They were always fighting and I was starting to go a bit crazy totally crazy!  I tried different kid music and kid songs, but they didn't care for them.  I tried books, and toys, and snacks of all sorts, but those didn't work either.  Finally I tried the Tangled Soundtrack my S.I.L gave me a while ago.  They LOVE it!!!  If they are whining or fighting, they stop when the music comes on.  This video does not do it justice, and I'm sure I will get another one and post it soon.  Capri starts dancing immediately, and Calin sings almost all the songs.  I love it.  It's fun.  It reminds me of Disney World and our good friend Janelle who so graciously put up with their fighting all the time, and then sang along with us almost every day anywhere we went.  I never get tired of it :)

Awe we miss you guys too! Love the randomness, those are the best posts! I forgot about the tangled soundtrack we should listen to that more. While i'm home we listen to our Pandora Disney station and the kids love that.

CRAZY Capri can throw finger nail polish that far... impressive. Lucky it was on tile so it was easier to clean up the carpet. I would have been pulling my hair out too!

We just got a new car seat for Maylee too (well we had to since Emma is in her old one) we got one from Costco it seems to be a good one and it's slim so it fits in the back of our Carolla with Ty's and Emma's. It's tight but they all fit amazingly.

Awesome Mall Kids Club too, all of that for free is amazing! We're lame and our fun outing is either to the park or the library. I'll need to think of better stuff soon considering the weather will start to get junky really soon.

Keep up the randomness, far away family members love it :)

that nail polish and then spilled vase is what made me feel like what I go through is normal. Thank you for letting me know my kids are not the only ones who go from one mess/trouble to the other :) Good thing it wasn't on the carpet, right?

I like randomness too!
