A few weeks ago my 5th niece was born. And I got to fly out to Washington to meet her.
She is a doll! Unlike her 3 towhead siblings, she has dark hair. She also eats like she's a 10 pounder (she was born 6 lbs 15 oz). And she rarely makes a peep. She was often wrapped up in a snuggly blanket on the couch and more than once I almost picked up the blanket to fold and put away. She's just that quiet, you forget she's even there. But not really forget, cause how can you forget about something this cute.
I took hundreds of photos of this little lady. It was the best having a newborn at my disposal! I crammed my carry-on suitcase full of blankets, hats, wraps, headbands, camera, and all the things I could to use for her photos. Then I packed only the bare essentials for me and Taylor in my purse giant bag.
It was Taylor's first time flying. And he loved it. He just bounced around trying to get everyone's attention, then finally passed out about 1hr before landing.
I couldn't help it. I started taking photos of Grace as soon as I arrived.
Taylor had a blast playing with his cousins and aunt and uncle. I don't think he noticed for a second that Calin and Capri weren't around.
We did take a couple walks while I was there. It was so nice being able to go outside (summer in Phoenix is way too long) and see so much green!
And I had so much fun visiting with Mickie. We really do need to get together more often! I miss her, and all my sisters-in-law (even my newest one Pam, who I yet to meet). I grew up with two brothers and always wanted a sister. Now I have 5, and they are pretty fantastic!! I feel super blessed! Thanks Matt & Mickie for such a fun weekend!
