We left for Jersey on Tuesday the 14th around 3:30am. We drove all day and stopped in Rapid City to see Mount Rushmore. Last year we drove right past it not knowing how close it was. So this year we made sure we stopped. We arrived in Sioux City Iowa at Jordan's aunt and uncle's house around midnight that night.
Wednesday we spent the day with Jordan's family in Sioux City which was lots of fun!! Thursday we headed off to Nauvoo. Jordan and I went to the temple while Braden and Nate went and toured the city. It was our first time in the Nauvoo temple (last year it was closed for cleaning). It is such a beautiful temple! And so unique! It was a beautiful day to stop and enjoy the spirit there in Nauvoo.
Thursday night we drove a little further and stayed the night in South Bend Indiana. Friday Jordan and I drove the last 8 hours to get to Long Branch, and Nate and Braden stopped in Kirtland.
The trip was long, but it really wasn't that bad. We really enjoyed all our stops, and it was fun caravanning with Jordan's brothers. Luckily I felt well the whole time and didn't get sick.
Our apartments are great! So spacious, and we have a great view of the ocean from our apartment! The beach is only a few steps away, and the weather has been beautiful! We had a few rainy days last week, but for the most part it has been sunny with a nice breeze.
I'm excited to start exploring the area, and finding new adventures!!

How fun!! I think going on an "Adventure" like that would be so fun. My adventure's consist of... Idaho and traveling around to see family. I can't wait to see pictures and hear about it :)

My family had a family reunion in Nauvoo in 2002 and we stayed in the Nauvoo House or Joseph Smith Hotel. It was really cool. We got to go through the temple for it's Open House. I want to go back and take Jaren and go through again. :) Lots of stairs!! More so than Rexburg.

You're trip sounds like a lot of fun! I'm sure you will enjoy the summer having the beach so close! What an adventure, I love it!
