Last week my mom came to visit. She stayed a week in DC then last Tuesday Stephanie and I drove down to pick her up. We did some site seeing Tuesday and Wednesday then drove back up to Jersey.
Last year we saw all the monuments, but didn't have time to see any of the Smithsonian's, and since those are my mom's favorite we visited a few. Wednesday we went to the Air and Space Museum, and the Museum of Natural History. Thursday we went to the Museum of the American Indians. What a neat building!

You can tell I'm almost 8 months pregnant just by looking at my heat levels!
my mom loves the Air and Space Museum. I think she went there a total of 5 times during her visit to DC. This picture was taken on her 4th visit and look how excited she still is!!
Here's a pic of the Hope Diamond from the museum of Natural History. My mom had me take tons of pictures of this. It is pretty how it even sparkles in pictures!
It was nice to finally sit down and eat after such a LONG day!
The DC metro is so much nicer than NY! But with fewer trains and fewer stops, it's not nearly as convenient.
Our last day in DC we had a ton of stuff planed, but only made it to one museum before we headed home. I didn't feel like such a party-pooper when Steph said she was too tired and didn't want to do all the walking either.
Before last week, I hadn't really slowed down much, but after our trip to DC I realized I really can't do everything I used to. I don't usually have too much to do, but while my mom was here she just wanted to go go go. It was really hard for me to accept the fact that I can't go go go all day long like usual. It's just so frustrating! I feel like I should be able to do whatever, but then when I get up and try, my body won't let me. Just a few weeks ago I went all day walking around NY, didn't get home till after 1am, and was fine! It's crazy what a difference a few weeks made! Ugh!
While my mom was here we also toured Ellis Island and Liberty Island, and the wives here threw me a baby shower. When I get the pictures, I'll post them later.

I went to the doctor on Monday. He said I'm measuring right on schedule. I feel (and look) huge though! They want to do an ultrasound before I fly back home, so I scheduled that for the 10th. He said he's pretty sure I won't be having this baby early - but how does he know? I still get nervous that I won't make it back to Rexburg in time, or that Jordan won't be there. I've been having TONS of braxton hicks contractions that seem to be getting more intense and more frequent since the busy week I had when my mom was here. But the doctor said to make sure I take it super easy, pretty much do nothing, keep drinking tons of water, and I should be fine till my due date. Only 5 more weeks!

You've still got a lot of stamina this late in the pregnancy. I was slowing down a lot sooner. Good for you. Recovery will be piece of cake.
your going to put yourself into early labor!
I remember that same feeling Michaela. Wha? Slow Down? Are you kidding??? haha I have things to do and people to see! My blood pressure was the signal for that, usually it was really low but it spiked a little after a particularly busy weekend about 36 weeks in. :) Good Luck, hope all goes well with your ultrasound!
you have 34 days to go!!! That is so exciting!
I can't believe you are getting so close. Any names yet? Looks like you had a lot of fun in DC. We really want to go!
You look so incredible! I love all the baby pics above too. So fun. Good luck with the move. Are you guys heading back to Rexburg? Or where?
