6 Months

This was the only picture I got of him actually sitting next to the bear and the card.
The rest turned out like this . . .

I took Calin to his 6 month doctor appointment Monday. I can't believe how big our little boy is getting!
Here are his stats:
Weight
6 months: 17 lbs - 40th percentile
4 months: 15.6 lbs - 58th percentile
increase of 1.4 lbs and down 18%

Hight
6 months: 27" - 70th percentile
4 months: 24.5" - 28th percentile
increase of 2.5" and 42%
(I actually wonder how accurately she measured him . . . ?)

Head Circumference
6 months: 16.8" - 18th percentile
4 months: 16.3" - 21%
increase of .5" and down 3%

So even though he's not eating solids yet, I'm not too worried. He's still growing and is still very healthy. The doctor said he is very strong and was the happiest/easiest baby they had all day (I think they probably say that to everyone, cause I hear it every time, but it's still sweet to hear :)

This past month he has really started moving! It always seems like it happens so fast too. He's been able to roll over to his back since 5 weeks, and started rolling to his tummy around 4 months, but didn't do it very frequently. Well, one day he decided he LOVED rolling over, and hasn't stopped since. He takes up our whole living room now when he plays. He rolls and spins to get where he wants to go and get what he's after.
He seems pretty coordinated. He is always finding toys and objects to drag towards himself. And if there is a ring on his wrist or foot, and he wants it off, he takes it right off, no problem.
He's still trying really hard to crawl, but I'm sure it will be a couple months, at least, before he starts making some real progress.

He is still very sociable. Sometimes I feel bad at church because he is so distracting. He is constantly turning every which way to see who's attention he can catch to smile his HUGE contagious smile and chat with them. And he loves to make noises, blow raspberries, and squeal.

Even though he is so good with people, he is also really good playing by himself. He will be happy playing by himself with some toys for quite a long period of time. And that is always nice for me when I need to get things done.

His bottom teeth are finally starting to break through. He's been handling it pretty well. And really enjoys chilled teething rings.

He still only reaches for me (as far as people go. he reaches for objects all the time of course). He hasn't started reaching for Jordan, but he gets SO excited to see Jordan when he comes home, or in the mornings and naps when he wakes up.

I have really enjoyed these past few months. Calin has been so sweet, fun, and easy! He does occasionally have fussy days, but they are very few and far between, and even those days aren't bad since he's usually happy being held. And if I have to take the day off to cuddle with my little guy - no problem! :)

Wow! What a growth spurt! That is great. I have a feeling by the time he is 10, 11, and 12 months it may be impossible to get him to sit next to his bear with the card. :) Sounds like he's a busy guy!
