We spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom. Hollywood Studios was our favorite park, but I loved watching how much fun Calin had at Magic Kingdom. It really is Magical! Really!
Our first day at Magic Kingdom we arrived 45min before the gates opened.
We thought that was plenty of time, but it was already SO crowded! It happened to be the day Justin Bieber was performing for the taping of the Christmas parade. It was madness!
Luckily we didn't care to see Bieber, and had 3 hours of absolutely NO lines on ANY rides. Magic I tell you! :)

And since we had so much free time we were able to visit lots of characters, and watch the parades. We weren't planning on doing either of those things, we didn't think Calin would be too interested, boy were we wrong! He loved the parades! And loved meeting characters!
A few notes about this video -
1 - Calin LOVES the Beast, and he looked at Calin and waved to him (even clapped when Calin was clapping) the whole time he was in sight. Calin really thought it was magic!
2- Jordan's expression cracks me up every time I see this video! (around 55sec into the video)
Calin meeting Woody and Jesse for the first time
Calin had so much fun seeing all these characters dance and sing! He would have loved to be up there dancing with them, lol
(the first half of this video is me recording in front, and the second half is Jordan recording behind us)
Calin didn't know who Peter Pan was before this picture. Now he LOVES Peter Pan!! |
Calin wasn't too sure about Stitch, but Capri loved him! |
See, even Capri enjoyed Disney World! She really did. She loved all the music, and colors, and shows, and rides. She was so good our whole trip!
Oh, and she also loved the giant turkey leg!
This is what Calin looked like everyday around noon as we headed back to the resort.
After naps and swimming we usually returned to the park around 4 each day and stayed until about 7.
Jordan and I were even able to go back to the park one night for a date while my mom stayed home with sleeping kids. We were so tired we didn't do much, but it was still great! We sat in our own little reserved section (we just happened to be the only ones there) by the river in front of the castle and ate some ice-cream and delicious cookies. Probably one of my favorite moments. Well, actually, everything was my favorite! It was just so great!
Such fun memories!

That does look magical. Dinsey is seriously on point when it comes to creating a fairy tale for all ages. In my opinion it's worth every penny!
So many people say " I want to take my kids there when they'll remember it not when they are too young" Man I say take them at every age if you can, especially 2-3 years old that is when they are the most excitable and not let down by crazy expectations.
Okay enough of me... haha
What a vacation though, wish we could have joined you :)
Great photos and videos. Calin is so precious waving at the characters and dancing along. Madeline was watching with me and she was saying, "look Mom Capri doesn't even blink!" LOL That wasn't very nice of Jordan to tease her with the turkey leg ;)
Can't wait to take our kids there. They've been to Disneyland a couple years ago - but I know they will LOVE all the parks in Orlando.
My Princess,
The visit to Disney World was truly magical in every sense of the word! Your photos and videos do a great job of capturing the wonderful feeling of being there enjoying the happiest place on Earth! Even if the kids don't remember it, we have that memory to cherish, and they will at least have the pictures, videos, and tales to enjoy and know that their parents loved them enough to get started on the Disney magic early on! I couldn't have had a more fun time than those 5 magical days at Christmastime in warm, sunny, Florida with my favorite daughter, favorite son-in-law, and most precious and funny grandson and the baby princess! Thank you for encouraging me to make the trip, and I'll look forward to going again this summer (better save my money!!)
All my love,
Mom
P.S. Thank you for putting up with being my manager for American Idol!
