Last night I finally made sure all my memory cards were empty and in my camera bag for when I go into labor. It was late, and I was already upstairs going to bed before I realized I forgot to put them back in my bag, so Jordan said he would do it for me and tried putting one back in my camera. But he wasn't sure how to put it in, and damaged the pins which causes the camera to NOT WORK AT ALL. I had a complete meltdown and literally had a panic attack. Like had to pull out a paper bag to breath in and everything. May sound silly to some of you, over just a camera, but I think you fellow photography enthusiasts would understand. The idea of NOT having a camera for the birth of your own baby and/or not being able to take their newborn photos that you have been planning for 9 months, is not a good feeling. How sad would it be if I only had iphone photos of this little guy. Anyway, this morning I took it into a repair shop, they said it would be at least $300 and that's best case scenario :( ugh. But they did say they would try to hurry on it so hopefully it will be ready for Taylor's newborn pics. Poor Jordan felt horrible. It was an accident, and I got that, and wasn't upset with him at all. I'm so grateful for him and that he was so understanding about everything. He didn't sit there and tell me, "It's no big deal, it's just a camera, we have our phones . . . blah blah blah . . . " He knows how important pictures are to me and how upsetting something like this is to me right before our baby is born.
Anyway, we do have a point and shoot (it's funny that I can work a DSLR camera just fine, but have no idea how to take a decent photo with a regular nikon point and shoot) so we made sure to charge the battery and I cleared out the SD cards this morning and found the rest of the pictures from our trip to California and Oregon this past fall.
While we were on the coast we went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
And here are the pics from our stay with my dad & Brenda.
And some swimming in Medford with all the cousins
It looks like Capri is going to fall through her tube. But she does this all the time pool. Who knows why. Probably because we don't like her to do it and anything you tell her not to do, she of course has to do it. I don't think she can actually slip through with those big floaties on.
