Sewing Projects

I had a long list of sewing projects I wanted to get done before Taylor arrived. And I finally finished all of them! With time to spare :) I can hardly believe it.

We used the same car seat with Calin and Capri, and it was looking horrible! I considered buying a new one, but decided to just recover it instead. The fabric I ordered took FOREVER to get here so the seat was sitting around for weeks with the cover already ripped apart ready for me to recover. UPS finally delivered my fabric at 8:45pm Monday night, and I finished recovering the seat, canopy, newborn insert, and made a matching cover. I love how it tuned out.

Here are my other projects:

I made two of these monster bags. One for a nephew and one for Calin. I put a drawing pad in one, and a coloring book in another.

I made two dresses with matching headbands (one for Capri, and one for my niece Amber)

Three I-Spy bags. One for Calin & Capri and the others for a niece and nephew.

I also made a baby blanket for my brothers baby boy who is expected at the end of December, and a newborn posing  bag like the one below. I still need to fill mine (which is supposed to be the trickiest part), but at least it's made and will be ready to use for Taylor's newborn shoot :)
I have a couple more things on my sewing list, but I'm waiting on the fabric, and they are things that can wait. I'm glad I've been able to get done what I wanted to!

So much talent! I almost convinced myself to get a serger this christmas. I am too busy for sewing projects right now, but maybe next year? I can't believe you recovered a car seat! Looks so cute, and totally original!

are you serious? That carseat recover project is awesome! You are so talented! Wish we lived close so you could show me all your tricks!
