French Fish

Calin has the option of bringing his choice of a treat to his preschool Valentine's Day party tomorrow. He told me he wanted to bring "Those red fish!" I jokingly said "The Swedish ones?" He was confused, so I told him that is what they are called , "Swedish Fish". A while later when he was going to bed he said "Mom, don't forget to go to the store and get the French Fish!"
"HAHAHAHA Hilarious!" - This was my first reaction.
"Wait WHAT???"  - Was my second.
Why did he replace Swedish with French??? Do you think he knows France and Sweden are countries? And that people/things in France are French and people/things in Sweden are Swedish? No way, right? He's FOUR! We have never discussed countries or things like that with him. And we haven't even watched any of the olympics (which might have explained it, but we don't have cable). I'm still not convinced he substituted French for Swedish because of their whole country correlation thing, but why else would he say FRENCH?  I'm baffled. And I still find it hilarious that he called them French Fish!
