The Valponi Girls

I can not even tell you how excited I am that my cousins came to visit us! Growing up we spend a lot of time together and they are 2 of my most favorite people EVER. Then Erica started living all over the world, Alicia lived in SF and NYC while working her way up in the fashion world with her amazing blog Cheetah is the New Black, and I started having adorable kids and lived in cold cold Idaho while spending my summers in the most random states. So it's about time the three of us finally got together again :) And oh was it fun!!!

I picked them up from the Airport Friday night, and we stayed up chatting and laughing for hours! When we were younger (and I was blonder) Erica and I were mistaken for sisters (often twins) and Alicia was the cousin. Ha. I even remember one time someone asked if we were triplets! What a compliment! Our mannerisms are very similar and we're the Valponi girls so I can see how it can it can be confusing to others :)

Saturday morning we took Calin and Capri on a little hike at Papago Park. We climbed up to The Hole in the Rock. The kids loved it. We 3 were a bit scared. Thankfully we all made it back in one piece and no one fell off the cliff.

We came back home to drop the kids off and have some lunch before heading to Scottsdale for some shopping. I'm so glad Jordan was able to stay home with the kids for much of the weekend while I spent some much needed girl time with my cousins! We had a delicious dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Downtown Scottsdale.

Sunday was relaxing. We went to church, played with the kids, did some cooking, and took lots of photos.

Capri cried and cried when we left for Scottsdale the day before so we promised her that we would paint her toes the next day. She loved it! 

The kids adored the girls!!! And I think the girls adored my kids just as much!

I can't wait for Alicia and Erica to have their own kids that I can snuggle!

Capri bawled the whole way home from the airport Monday afternoon. She wanted to go with them SO bad!! So did I! I sure hope we find more time to spend together this year! We have too much fun together not to!
