Washington D.C.

April 26, 2008

Our first Saturday in town, before Jordan had to start working, we took a trip with some other couples from the office, to DC.  It was our first time visiting the city, and what an adventure!

We went to the International Spy Museum, which the guys totally loved!  We ate lunch at Potbelly’s.  It’s a delicious sandwich shop!  Then we took the metro down to look at the monuments.

Here is a picture of the Jefferson memorial from across the lake.

Lincoln Memorial

Here we are in front of the Washington monument

Here are some pictures of the WWII memorial

And here we are in front of the White House, our last stop of the day.

DC was amazing!  We still have so much more to see and do there!  But this short day trip was a lot of fun, and at least we made a little dint :)

The next time you go to D.C. you will have to look up your aunt Lucy and uncle Bill and their girls. They live about 10 minutes away in Alexandria where I was born. Your mom and I were sealed in the D.C. Temple and Honeymooned across the street from there.
