The first few days we were home we helped my mom finish her Christmas decorations. So even though we did not have our own tree in Reburg, we still got to decorate one this year :)

On Christmas Eve, my my mom, aunt, and uncle, gave my grandparents the cutest little golden retriever for Christmas. He's adorable. They named him Bumper, haha, I guess because he bumps into a lot of things.

On Christmas Eve, Jordan and I went with my brother Dominic to my other grandparent's house in Sonora. My dad was already up there, and my younger brother Alan and his wife Stephanie arrived Christmas morning. Christmas Eve we watched "A Christmas Story" - Jordan had never seen it before, can you believe it?!!? Then we went to Midnight Mass with my grandparents. I enjoyed singing all the Christmas songs :)

Once Alan and Stephanie arrived Christmas morning we opened presents, and played some games. My grandma made her famous Italian homemade ravioli's for dinner, then we headed back to my mom's for the evening. The weather report predicted a good chance of snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas day in Sonora, but all we ended up getting was lots of rain and lots of hail.

Friday morning my brothers came over to my mom's to celebrate Christmas again. We all exchanged gifts, and had lunch together. Alan got Rock Band, so we played that for a while also.
Here's a picture of my brother Dominic and his fiancee Jenna.

Friday night Jordan and I drove back up to Sonora (we forgot something there the night before -oops) and had dinner with my Dad, Brenda (my dad's girlfriend), and her girls. It was delicious, and so much fun! It was the first time we were able to see Brenda's place, so it was nice. And there was snow on the ground up there (so it was like a little piece of home, hehe)

Then on Saturday we celebrated our final 2008 Christmas. We had the big Parkie Christmas at my mom's this year. So all of my mom's family (the Parkinson side) came over to celebrate. It was fun seeing all my cousins! Especially my newest cousin Henry! My aunt and uncle had a baby this summer (my 21 yr old brother was the youngest grandkid on this side of the family until Henry). Bumper loved baby Henry! I think it was because Henry was more his sixe :)

A few years ago we started a fun tradition for the Parkinson Christmas. We do a "gift grab" like the white elephant game, but with nice gifts. Everyone draws numbers, and you have the ruthless strealing going on too, so it's a blast! This year I got a nice down feather cozy Eddie Bauer (sp??) throw, and Jordan got The Dark Night and a $15 gift card. So we made out pretty well!!

Well, that sums up our Christmas's of 2008 :) Sorry if it was too long, but we sure hope all of you had a fun and merry Christmas also!!

WOW, that is a whole bunch of Christmas! Sounds like you had a whole lot of fun with the family! Jordan, I have never seen "The Christmas Story" either. Matt thinks he has... one of these Christmases we'll have to watch it, just to say we did. Hope you got home safe :) Come back anytime like I said to Jordan, "Mi casa es su casa" :)
NO, not too long at all! I just have one question though...Did you sleep at ALL??? Holy smokes that's a lot of Christmas! Sounds like a lot of fun. They are definately memorable. Even though, if they end up like that later, the smaller ones, like the one we had this year, are the memorable ones. Guess we'll see what happens. Can't they all be memorable? I think so!
Sounds like you guys had a blessed Christmas with your family in CA. :)
