Kisses

Calin started giving kisses this week.

I'm pretty sure anyone but me and Jordan would not be fans of these kisses.

He comes at you with his mouth open wide and tongue out. And he rarely gives just one.

It's hard not to laugh when he's covering your face with slobber from his sweet kisses, so he might think it's sort of a game now. He'll give a kiss, pull away to look at you with a big smile, giggle, then attack again and again :)

Also - has anyone tried the Squirt Baby Food Dispensing Spoon by boon?

Feeding Calin solids has been such a pain! Even though he refuses to eat anything but breastmilk I still feel like I should keep trying with him. I know one day he'll finally decide it's time, and how will I know if I don't give him the opportunity to tell me. But he makes such a mess every time, doesn't eat a thing, and we waste a lot of baby food.

Well, I finally pulled out the Squirt spoon I had. I was quite skeptical. But it really works great. And Calin will actually eat from it (not much, but any little bit is progress). I have found that if Calin can touch the spoon and put it in his mouth himself, he will eat. This spoon is big enough for him to do that (with help of course), without the mess. I don't have to worry about keeping the bowl out of reach, and it's not as easy for him to swat and fling food around with. Also, since he doesn't eat a ton, I just stick the spoon (with leftovers still inside) in the fridge for next time.

And I haven't even touched on the convenience of this spoon while traveling and away from home

I think I'll go buy a couple more of these gems.
