I should post a belly shot, but I haven't taken one, so maybe another day.
Also, this post isn't very fun, so if you want to just skip the whole thing and read the names at the bottom for me and let me know which you like best, I'd be completely happy with that decision :)
So I went to the Dr today for the first time here in Arkansas. It was horrible. The clinic was filthy and crowded. It took over 2 hours to see a nurse, almost 3 hours to see a Dr, and so many more things that just made my day pretty depressing. But I'll try to stay positive, and not bring you all down with me . . .
I gained another 5lbs over the past 5 weeks - total weight gain is up to 17lbs - I'm good with that #, no big deal. Baby still has a good heartbeat, and I'm measuring on track. That's about it. Less than 8 weeks to go. Yay!
I had such a horrible experience at the Dr today (plus I had Calin with me for all 4 hours, which made things that much more challenging) that I just wanted to go home, cry, and go to bed. But just as I got home "craft night" was starting, so Calin and I headed over there instead of staying inside feeling miserable. The girls out here always cheer me up and Calin always enjoys playing with the other kids. One of the girls, Chelsea, even painted my toenails for me, and they look SO cute! I kept thinking she couldn't make them cuter, and somehow she did! So now that I'm home, and Calin's in bed, and I am feeling a bit lousy again, I can look at my pretty toes and I'm happy :) So if any of you wives out here read my blog, thanks for cheering me up tonight and being my friend :) Today especially!
Anyway, I know I never explained all the issues with finding a dr and insurance out here, but trust me there have been issues, and they've been frustrating and stressful. I have spent hours and days trying to work everything out, and kept being told this (what I went through today) was my best/only option. Well, after today, I'm willing to spend more hours, and more days if needed trying to find any other option. Till then, I'm really really trying to just put my trust and faith in the Lord.
Ok, ok, finally onto the names. I've been really stressing over a name. Jordan and I hardly ever talk about names, and it's getting close to our little girl's arrival, so we finally sat down and picked a few for you all to review :) But who knows, we might end up using one that isn't even on this list. We're not at all set on anything right now, so anything could happen :) And yes, I know 3 of the first names are so similar it's kind of ridiculous.
1) Holly Capri Spence
- Holly after Jordan's mom, but we would call her by her middle name, Capri.
I've also considered spelling it Capree, not sure which I like more.
2) Kinsley Jane Spence
- no significance with this one, except Jane is my grandma Parkinson's middle name
3) Kinley Rochelle Spence
- Rochelle is Jordan's mom's maiden name
4) Brinley Elizabeth Spence
- Elizabeth is my middle name, and Jordan's grandma Spence's first name
So what are your thoughts? Any favorites? It's ok if you don't like any of them. My mom did this same thing when I was born (not with a blog obviously, but let family vote on a list of names), and everyone voted for Marissa. Well, we all know that didn't happen, and she went with the name that no one voted for, and as it turns out, I'm quite glad. Though, she could have picked an easier way to spell it :)
*oh, and for those of you who don't like to leave comments, just vote in the poll to the right. I have no idea who votes, so you're still anonymous ;)

Like the first one best.
The other three just don't really sound that great for a girl - that is the other three first names. Jane is very nice, and I like Elizabeth as well.
What about Kate?
I'm sorry your experience with the new doc and clinic was so terrible. :( I pray things will work out either way. And all that matters is that you get the right care when you deliver your daughter and that they help keep you and your daughter healthy.
17lbs. sheeesshhhhh that's nothin'! LOL
Okay onto the names. How would you pronounce Capri/Capree? When I first read it, I was saying it like "Cape - ree" but then I was thinking of the clothing capris, and I thought that maybe you wanted to pronounce is "Cuh-pre". I think Holly Capri would be a nice tribute to Jordan's mom (the guys also have a cousin Holly Spence from Uncle Paul) and I think using the name Capri is a cute idea. It's a name I haven't heard before, but sounds very girly. My 1st choice however is your 2nd name Kinsley Jane. I can just picture y'all with a cute lil blonde girl with that name. :) It's so cute. We have a cousin on from Stephen's mom's side who has a little girl named Tinsley - so it reminded me of that and I think both names are just adorable.
Post a belly pic!
Brynn Elizabeth was going to be my girls name...but then I found out it's a boy! HAHA...cute names! :)
I like Holly Capri! But then you know the next one is going to have to be a "C" too right? So when you call them all in for dinner, you can yell, Callin, Capri, Caity! Hahaha! Well, it might not be Caity, but still you've got to admit rolls off the tongue.
Arg to the darn appointment! I would have just cried too. Serious melt down would have occurred. You are talking it way better then I would have. Good luck with the Dr. situation and we'll keep praying for you both.
As far as the names go... yeah I don't know either. They are all pretty. I like Jane and Elizabeth (thats the Pride and Prejudice in me talking) Kinsley is cute, so is Brinley, I like Rochelle as well... Holly Carpi is darling. Okay I am pandering and no help at all. Good luck choosing the names too!
Sorry about those overbooked doctors. Darn those guys. Glad the girls could cheer you up some.
I like Capri for a first name. People get confused when they see another name before the called name (school and all).
I also like Kinsey without the "L". I also like Kay's "Caity" and the spelling of it.
1. Capri Elizabeth, 2. Caity Elizabeth 3. Kinsey Elizabeth.
There shouldn't ever be another Holly. That should be reserved for her only, but that's just me. Your choice - your child.
I think the middle name thing is confusing also so maybe just do it opposite, Capri Holly instead. They are all cute, good luck on deciding! One of my good friends has a girl named Capri. Sorry about your doctor stuff, hope it gets better.
I voted for Holly, though I'm sure that would be a cute middle name too if you wanted to name the baby Capree Holly or something else entirely.
Sorry to hear about your sad experience at the doctors. :( That is very frustrating and scary. Hope everything pulls through for you!
Oh boy. Hard day. I can't imagine waiting that long and WITH Calin. Crazy. I hope it works out. It will NOT be fun to do that every week when it gets to that point. Yep I like Capri. I like the idea of naming her after Holly. I would be honored to be named after a grandmother, especially one as wonderful as her. Will be fun to see what you chose. And YES we need a belly shot! I bet you are getting to that really big stage that you get to. :) How is Jordan doing with sales?
i'm totally of no help. I think they'd all be cute. hard to pick!! I bet it'll come to you though. Good luck. (this is Kayleen by the way)
I can't really help on this decision. I would have the same comment as Mickie. hahaha! I will say that my first girl will be McKinley Ryan, so I like Kinley of course. I like the other options a lot too. Super cute! :)
