Mother's Day 2011

I had a great Mother's day!  Jordan stayed up super super late Saturday night getting things all ready for "my day."  He cleaned the house, went shopping, and even made buttermilk pancake batter and buttermilk syrup that night so it was all ready when I woke up in the morning.  He got me a memory foam mattress topper for our bed out here (I was really missing our comfy bed), and ice cream and a movie to watch that night.  

He also got me flowers of course.  He picked all the flowers out and arranged them in a vase himself.  He even got some shells for the vase :)  I love that he spends so much time making things so special for me.  He knows I love fresh flowers, but hate the thought of him spending tons of $$ on them, so the thought he puts into them makes my flowers so much better every time!  And I think he's developed a new hobby :)

Our office had a BBQ sunday instead of dinner Saturday night, so it was fun visiting with everyone after church and not having to worry about dinner.  We had hamburgers and hotdogs, homemade ice cream, fresh fruit, and some other delicious desserts!  It's summer here and I'm loving it!

Oh, and here is our living room, taken from the kitchen.  My one complaint about these apartments was the lack of natural light.  There are hardly any windows, but after the tornado scares our first week here, I decided that was probably a good thing :)

 Tomorrow is my first Dr appointment out here in Arkansas.  There has been way too many complications with finding a dr out here and insurance, so hopefully everything goes well tomorrow!
