Raviolis

Last night for dinner group I made homemade raviolis (heart shaped for Valentines Day of course). I called Nana for some tips since this was my first time making them. She's a pro at homemade raviolis! And I'm glad I have someone like her to call for recipes and great cooking tips! Thanks Nana!
I served them with homemade marinera sauce, caesar salad, and homemade breadsticks. And for dessert I made cheesecake stuffed strawberries (what? No picture you ask? Nope, I am not a food photog. I don't have the restraint/patience it takes to take nice pictures of my food before I dig in! But I did snap a quick one of the pre-cooked raviolis with my phone). I spent the majority of Monday evening and almost all day Tuesday preparing the meal, and it was definitely worth it. I love that I can spend more time on one meal each week since I don't have to prepare meals all the other days. But last night I also had a couple church meetings, so today I am left with a very large pile of dishes! Cleaning my kitchen will probably take me all day. Anyway, I loved making the raviolis, and am determined to make them more often now!

Italian food is definitely my favorite type of food to cook. I may be a Spence now, but I was a Valponi first :)

-Fun fact - Turned out Nana was making raviolis the same day I did! Funny how that works huh? :) Too bad we couldn't make them together!

I've wanted to try those. Sounds like a yummy dinner. I think I would like photographing food. It doesn't move around. I feel like I am in total control. :)
