As of yesterday, our little baby girl was considered Full Term! Yay! Her arrival is just around the corner!
I had my checkup today, and things went great. I gained a whole pound (I know none of you really care, but I wish I would have kept track with Calin, so I'm making a point to keep track this time, sorry you have to read about it too :-) ). Oh, and my Group B came back negative, yay!
My Dr said July gets super busy at the hospital, so he said I should schedule an induction date now just in case she decides to come more than a week late. And considering my progress so far, or whatever, he said I could pick a day between one week before and one week after my due date if I wanted to. Going into this visit I was not prepared to schedule an induction date, so I had no idea. I definitely don't want to be induced, so I was going to opt for a week after my due date, but oh my, the thought of being pregnant for another whole month seems crazy! And my mom is coming on the 8th, so I opted for the 13th, 7am. We'll see how that goes. He said I can always change it, but at least I'm in the books if I need it. It's still weird to me that I scheduled it though, and hopefully she will come on her own!
And here are some random pictures from a week ago. One afternoon we went to a park down the street. It was miserable! Way too hot!! We stayed maybe 5 min. Jordan and I were dying! Calin probably could have played for an hour. Ugh, this heat is killing me! I spent all winter indoors because it was too cold, and now we're spending all summer inside because it's too hot. Total bummer!
Calin went down the slide by himself after seeing Jordan go, but made me go down with him once I was up there. We had to push our way down. Not so fun.
And since I don't have an official belly shot for you all to see, here is nice flattering picture of my pregnant self. hahaha
My belly is so big and distracting I bet you barely even noticed Calin down there huh? :)
While I was pregnant with Calin everyone always commented on how big I was. And I was big! But this time people keep telling me I'm small and I think that has made me almost believe it (even though I'm sure they are just talking about the rest of me, and trying to avoid the hugeness of my pregnant belly). Or maybe it's just that with Calin, I never had a belly that stuck out like that, and this time around it's no big deal? I keep thinking I'm smaller than I was with him, but then I look at that picture above, and compare it to this one below taken at 39 weeks (the day before I had Calin), and I'm pretty sure I'll be there in 2 weeks.
Or maybe I'm already that big and I'm just going to get bigger? In that case, there is no way I'm letting her come too late. 4 more weeks and I'll definitely get as big as my mom was when she was prego with me . . .

GLancing ahead without reading I thought you went back to blonde then I realized that was an old picture...
Well I will tell you being induced is 2 thumbs up in my opinion, but that is just me. It's so much easy to plan for and prepare. My guess is she'll come before then anyway.
Like I keep telling you, you look cute pregnant with a cute pregnant belly... I know you are probably just about miserable at this point though.
I am SO GLAD you found a good Dr. too. For the next few weeks try to relax and stay out of that heat!
You are small still, but you have a couple more weeks to blow up. :)
And if you ask me being induced is 2 thumbs down. Not that I made it to my induction date, but the pitocin is miserable. I bet all the stuff Mickie mentioned would be nice though.
I am sending your wrap and a dress soon. Oh wait, what is your address? Would you email it to me?
I hope you don't have to be induced either. It's much better to go when she's ready unless there are medical reasons she needs to come early...like what happened with Spencer. We wish you luck! We're excited for you!
Where is that park that you guys went to? We haven't discovered that one yet. That's fun we get to see a prego picture of your mom. I could tell you this all day long. You look amazing and gorgeous and I can't wait to see your new little girl. Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you. I know these last few weeks can be exhausting!!
I think you look tiny and adorable! I can't believe you're so close to having her!
You look great!
Hey, I want her to be a 7/11 baby!! 7/11/11!! Maybe you can change the induction date (even though I highly oppose inductions). And I'm sure you're as big as I was with you! It's just that I'm wearing that TENT! And, I did gain about 50 pounds with you.
Love you baby girl!
Love,
Mom
You look great Kyla. Glad your mom will be there with you. Can't wait to see--What's her name again? Just thought I would try.
