60 Years {Granny & Grandpa}

In May we took a trip to California to celebrate my dad's parents 60th wedding anniversary. And in August the kids and I flew out again for my mom's parents 60th wedding anniversary. How neat that both sets of grandparents celebrated SIXTY years of marriage!! It was so fun to celebrate with all my family!! The party was at my grandparent's house in Turlock which they are in the process of selling so it was great to have one last bog party there. I will miss their house a lot. Growing up we had family dinner there every week and always had big holiday get togethers there. So many fun memories in that house!

 My Great Aunt Nancy surprised my grandparents by renewing their vows. My grandparents are a hoot, and had some pretty funny reactions when they found out they were going to be renewing their vows :)

We always have lots of yummy food when the Parkinson's all get together! BBQ is always a must when eating at my grandparents house. My brothers and cousins have picked up my grandpa's passion for good BBQ and they did all the meat for the party. It sure was tasty!!

Stephanie and I stayed up late the night before making tons of poster boards with pictures of the whole family through the years. It's neat to see what 60 years of marriage has brought together!

My grandpa is also very musical and sang my grandma a song :) It was so sweet! And Capri was up there dancing along.
