When I wake up each morning, I am surprised I made it through one more day/night without having this baby.
At my 38 week appointment on Wednesday, I was measuring 40wks. My doctor doesn't seem too concerned about it. Maybe because he doesn't think I'll go too much longer. I think it's strange that I'm measuring so big. Hopefully everything is ok and the delivery will go smoothly.
Here is a picture of me at 37.5 weeks for all those who are dying to see my hugeness :)
I decided to make a Thanksgiving dinner yesterday since we couldn't really travel anywhere. I was pretty nervous about it and wasn't sure I could handle it all on my own being so pregnant, but I kept it really simple and having an amazing husband who does everything for me sure made my job easy. We had Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, mandarin orange salad, green beans, candied carrots, rolls, and stuffing. For dessert I made a no-bake oreo dessert, and Jordan bought a pumpkin pie for his dad who also joined us (we aren't big pie eaters). I told a friend I would make her some rolls, so Wednesday I ended up making 8 dozen rolls. And Jordan ended up doing the whole turkey himself. I handed him the recipe, and he soaked it in the brine the night before (even rearranged the fridge to fit a huge 5gal bucket in there), then got it all ready for to be cooked the day of, put it in for me, took it out when it was done, and it turned out to be a fantastic turkey!! He also did ALL of the cleanup himself! It actually was pretty easy making Thanksgiving dinner with Jordan around.
Today we decided to do a little shopping. Lines weren't too bad. Except Old Navy! That line was crazy!! It was looped back and forth 5 times in the front of the store, then wrapped all the way from the front on one side, around the back, and half way around the other side of the store. I wasn't even going to bother looking for anything inside and told Jordan we should just leave. But insisted that I grab whatever we needed and he would wait in line while I took the kids home (we drove two cars since I didn't think I would last as long as Jordan). I couldn't believe I found the things I wanted in the right sizes with how many people were there and how late in the day it was. He waiting in line for 2 hours!!! TWO! I'm still not sure it was entirely worth it, but everything in the store was 50% off, plus officemax is right next door and they had $100 Old Navy gift cards for $80. So we did get some pretty good deals on some clothes for the kids.
People at the stores kept joking with me saying "think you'll make it through the line before you have your baby?" Haha, probably not that Old Navy one!

AH! I can't wait to see my new nephew! TWO hour lines are WAY too long. GLad Jordan was there to do a lot of the prep and clean up. 8 Dozen rolls is a bit much dear. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving dinner :)
Ha I just showed Stephen your belly pic and he said "must have been some Thanksgiving!" ;) You are such a pretty preggo gal!
Whoa I didn't even attempt Old Navy, but the lines weren't bad at Best Buy, I think I waited about 20 min.
Best wishes for a smooth L&D. December babies are awesome!
I am seriously waiting everyday for the phone call you are in labor so I am surprised you haven't had him yet either! You look beautiful regardless though but that's got to be getting very uncomfortable, almost done:)
Love how you are ALL belly. No one gave you, the huge pregnant lady, cuts at Old Navy? How rude!
