Back on Schedule

So far today has been a great day! (I hope I don't jinx it)
While in California, Calin had terrible sleeping habits! He would never go down for a nap without crying himself to sleep. And he would wake up crying every 1-3 hours at night. He was also extra fussy during the day.
At home he always goes down for his naps quietly. I lay him down when he's getting tired, give him his paci, and he sleeps. At night I put him down around 10:30, he wakes up once around 4:30, then goes back to sleep till about 7:30.
Well, almost as soon as we got home he went back to his normal EASY nap routine, but has still been waking up crying every 2-3 hours at night. So not ok!
Last night he finally slept 6 hours and woke up NOT crying. I fed him 1/2 what he normally eats (hoping that will make the transition to sleeping through the night easier) then he went back to sleep for another 3 hours before I woke him up for the day. Oh it was so nice to get some good sleep again!
And today he has been so happy and playful! And he hasn't been extra fussy! I feel like he's finally getting back into his routine :)

I took this video last month. This is what Calin is usually like when he wakes up from his naps (in California, he just cried and cried - I promise he's not usually that fussy!)
Anyway, not the most exciting video, but I thought the grandparents would enjoy hearing him.
He talks back a lot. For example, last night Jordan was saying goodnight to Calin, and Calin jabbered back what sounded just like "goodnight." He's does it all the time! We'll ask if he's ok, and he says "I'm ok." Anyway, there are plenty more examples, and I know he's not really talking, but do all babies do that (I wonder this about a lot of things :)? I think it's the cutest! Anyway, you can listen for his "hi" in this one

Such a cute video, the grandparents should definitely appreciate that! That is definitely one MAJOR downside about traveling, having your kids away from their normal everyday routines. Some kids adjust easier than others but kids definitely notice when there is a change. The nice thing is babies usually adapt quickly once you get them back on a consistent routine. You guys have one cute boy!

How sweet is Calin! He looks like he wants to talk so bad. Love the picture of Jordan and him. Glad he's back on schedule.
