California Christmas

I am finally posting some pictures from our trip to California. There are a lot of pics so I'll try to keep the writing to a minimal.

We drove down to Salt Lake Sunday night (12/20) and stayed at Suzanne & Preston's.

We flew to California Monday morning. Calin did SO great! He slept the entire plane ride.

We stayed with my mom until Christmas day. We visited lots of family, and did lots of shopping :)

My SIL Jenna was so great with Calin! He spit-up on her SO many times, but she didn't mind at all, and still had tons of fun with him!

My younger brother Alan and his wife Stephanie are expecting their first baby in April. Calin sure got them prepared for the worst. He was a pill and a half while we were with them. But they were still so sweet with him :)

The weather was so much warmer than it is in Idaho, so we tried to take some walks and be outside as much as we could.

My mom lives close to CSU Stanislaus so we took a walk around the campus. It's pretty with lots of ponds. Jordan had fun feeding the ducks berries from the trees - until my mom told him they were poisonous, then he stopped and was pretty worried about the ducks. I'm pretty sure they're ok though.

We took a walk down Christmas Tree Lane in Turlock. Doesn't Calin fit right in with the other angles :)

Christmas morning we opened gifts at my mom's with some other family.

In the afternoon we went to my Brenda and my Dad's for more Christmas fun.

Calin actually did a great job opening his gifts! But every time he would rip off some paper he would try to eat it :)

Calin was the only baby this year, but next year there will be 3! Brenda's daughter Christina was due yesterday (I haven't heard anything, but if Jayla isn't here yet, she will be soon :)
*edit: I got a call a couple hours after posting and Christina & Gavin had their baby today, 1/11/2010, around 1am. I'm still waiting to see some pics of their beautiful baby Jayla Rayne :)

Here's Calin with Nana

We stayed with my dad for the rest of our trip. While we were there Calin slept in this gorgeous homemade cradle. It's the same one that my brothers and I all slept in when we were little. It's a terrible picture, but it really is beautiful!

The day after Christmas we went back to my mom's house for the 'Parkinson's Christmas' with my mom's family.

It took a lot of effort, but we finally got my brother Dom to hold his little nephew :)

While with my dad we took a trip to Murphys. My favorite part was being the 100th customer of the day in Nelson's Candy Kitchen and getting a $10 gift certificate!! They have my all time favorite chocolates there that you can't find anywhere else!

It was a fun trip! We got to see lots of family, but also missed a lot of family and friends. I really wish we had more time to see everyone!! Hopefully next time.

On the flight home Calin was again AMAZING!

All of Jordan's brothers were in Salt Lake for the New Year, but the flu was going around so we tried to keep our distance. (though we wish we couldn't spent more time with them, we're glad we did - I think we were the only ones that didn't have someone in our home catch that nasty bug!)

I have some more pictures to post that are on another computer. So when I switch them over, I'll post them :)
