Our Valentine's weekend was fun and busy, but the 3 day weekend gave us some extra time to relax also.
Jordan had the opportunity to attend a church meeting on Saturday where Elder Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve addressed Elder's Quorum Presidents and Relief Society Presidents in our area. This was the third apostle he's been able to hear speak since January. Pretty lucky kid :)
After Sunday meetings, we came home and had a yummy dinner (I made the pork recipe I posted here soo good!)
I tried making the chocolate reese's cake but realized, when I was ready to pour the batter, that I must have lost my cake pans in our move back from Jersey (one of the many things to add to my list - I hate moving). So I made cupcakes, without liners . . . things did not go as planned. I actually loved them as cupcakes though! They were SO delicious! And this made it easier for us to give some away. I'm sure we could have eaten them all ourselves, but we really shouldn't! (I do not recommend making these without liners! This cake is SO moist, it's so difficult getting all those cupcakes out of the pan. I need to just buy some to have on hand in case of another emergency like this one :)
If you are a fan of chocolate and peanut butter, mmmmmm, you HAVE to try this recipe it really is the bEsT! (Oh, and yes I did end up getting another bag of reese's and it made all the difference!) Go here for the recipe!!
We received Valentine's in the mail from our sweet little nephew Ty. I can't believe I didn't think about sending out Valentines from Calin. Well, something to look forward to next year :)

OH Calin! He is SO SWEET! I just want to snuggle him! That is a cute picture... makes him and Ty look like cousins :)
Hmmm i'll have to try that recipe. Matt doesnt like "Cake" he says, but anytime I make something like that he LOVES it. Since Reese's are involved I bet he'll TOTALLY go for it!
Don't show pictures of those while I am on a sugar fast! AH! they look so good. That is the first thing I am making when I am done!
We are a Reese's fanatic family - so making those could be dangerous in our home. LOL
Adorable photo of Calin. What a happy baby.
YUMMM... those look so good! Remember making monster cookies? hehe You've always been a great little cook!
ps: I'm having so much fun with Picasa. Thanks for the tip. xoxo
Oh my, I LOVE chocolate and peanut butter. You have to try these cookies! http://picky-palate.com/2008/09/11/peanut-butter-surprise-cookie-cups/ I made them for valentines day and I make them quite often... super yummy.
I'm going to try the cake. But I like the idea of cupcakes better, so I'll probably do that.
Your pictures are very good! What camera are you using?
